It is beyond hard to THINK even about fall fashion when it is 80 plus degrees outside. So, I focused on having some frozen yogurt. 🙂
However, that all changed this last week- a dear friend of mine had a fashion show type party at her house. I felt inspired, so I shopped. Moreover, it got me psyched for fall.
So I have a few tricks up my sleeve. I have a friend who is a stylist. My little sister is a shoe designer. I have friends who work in the industry. These ladies guide me to what is hot, wearable, and going to blend right into my wardrobe. God bless em.
Oh and I will have these colors on my fingers. Fall=color! This bag from Charming Charlie is a great way to incorporate this color effortlessly into your fall uniform. Easy peasy.
I do not want to overwhelm you with everything- so I am going to give you a couple essential ideas and then will return to you in a couple weeks with more ideas to add to your fall arsenal.
I try very hard to not go too crazy financially. However, this coat by CAbi blew me away. Ask my friends who saw me try it on. I knew it was right. Interestingly enough, it is a big color for fall. It’s PINK!!!!! It is called “winter pastels.”
You probably haven’t heard of this brand- it is a great staple for moms both career and stay at home. Check it out. You will thank me later.
So there you go. Two very beautiful colors for fall. Different. Interesting. Wearable in a million different ways. Try this week to look at your closet, and the jeans that you have. Ask yourself ” how can I incorporate these colors into my wardrobe?”
By adding a few pops of color, you instantly refresh your wardrobe. No need to buy a new wardrobe. Add to what you have and what you love.
My kids go back to school next week. They are ready. It has been a good summer. Probably one of the best we have ever had. Kids are a bit older now and more independent. We are all tan and freckled, and ready to tackle homework, soccer games and all the beauty and chaos of the fall.
If your kids are back in school, do something NICE for yourself. No one ever rewards the tired parents who survive summer, entertaining their kiddos for days at a time. So do it for yourself. I promise to do it too. 🙂
I will leave you with these words from our friend Oprah Winfrey, “I am a big fan of the kinds of minor changes that add up to major delight.”
Well said Oprah. Go forth and change!!!!!!!!!
