#1 – Keep your kisser kissable
Lip balms, lip balms, we all need a good lip balm for those hot summer days. No one wants to kiss dry, chapped lips. Although some lipsticks provide moister for those kissers, these trusty lip savers give that extra added boost to keep your lips hydrated, soft and kissable.

#2 Take care of that hair!
If your hair is curly, dry, frizzy, blonde or brown (and everything in between), you need to protect that mane especially in summer months. If you live in humid or dry areas, swim in the ocean or at your local pool, pull it up or wear it down, your hair needs love.

# 3 Save the face!
Navigating which products that work for your skin can be challenging and sometimes feel like your walking in a maze with no exit. New and improved products seem to come along daily: “erase wrinkles, bring back that youthful glow, stop aging.” Here are some things to keep in mind to keep your skin nourished, protected and fresh.
- Antioxidant Serums: There are a number of options on the market. These serums protect your skin inside and out from harmful UV rays, infrared radiation, pollution, and lifestyle factors that generate damaging free radicals and prematurely age skin. I highly recommend Skinceuticals Phloretin CF. It’s pricey but well worth it. Use it sparingly.
- Foundation Primers: Apply under your SPF/moisturizer to help keep your base foundation from sliding off your face. Love, love, love Laura Mercier’s selection of primers. Take your pick. Other primers on the market that help minimize pores with mattifying, skin perfecting appeal are: Korres Pomegranate Mattfying and Benefit’s Dr. Feelgood — a great, affordable option that gives your skin a velvety finish and miraculously fills in those tiny lines. You can also find all these products at Sephora.
- Wash your face at night: Save your pillow case, wash your face before bed. Although, sometimes after a fun, summer night on the town we neglect washing our face before bed. Try to take that extra 5-10 minutes and stick to a simply routine: use a gentle eye make-up remover like M·A·C’s Gentle Off Eye and Lip makeup remover, cleanser, toner, and moisturizer. Repeat with your cleanser, toner and SPF moisturizer in AM.
- Don’t forget the sunscreen: For optimal protection, go with a sunscreen with an SPF of 30 to 50. I suggest a foundation and SPF in one – tinted beauty balm with SPF by Too Faced is a great option. Skinceuticals also has a great sunscreen to protect your skin from the sun’s harmful rays.
